Maryborough Hospital Back of House Refurbishment

Harmer Architecture has completed their second project for Maryborough Hospital in central Victoria.

The project involved a major refurbishment of the Back of House facilities for the hospital site.

The new Back of House facilities supports the new hospital, which is currently under construction, as well as the existing nursing home and existing hospital.

The construction was designed and staged around the need for the continuous operation of all facilities on the Hospital site in the heart of the Maryborough township.

Harmers are also providing a master plan for the repurposing of existing hospital spaces that will be vacated when the new hospital is completed.

The Back of House project is a complete upgrade of existing facilities to current standards for linen and sterile stores, bulk storage, loading dock, waste management, and maintenance/workshop facilities.

The project has been funded by the regional Victorian Government infrastructure development fund and will be completed prior to the end of 2024.
